Rafael Nadal says that in the next month he’ll focus on adding more power to his shots and get used to the increased weight of his racket. No. 2 Nadal fell to Novak Djokovic in an epic five-setter at the Australian Open, the seventh consecutive time he has lost to the Serbian. The Spaniard won't play any tournaments until Indian Wells, which begins the second week of March.
"I want to work on the court, tire myself out, and then try to get to balls and return them with power," he told El Pais, adding that the most important thing for him to do is to 'hit winners.’?
"I hit the ball much better in Australia ,with more determination and flatter," he said. "In 2011, I hesitated, hit the ball and then restarted. To put it bluntly, I am looking to hit winners. Also, to improve my backhand, hitting it deeper. I'm back to being at a high level, but I have it even higher."
