Although Naomi Osaka didn't claim a gold medal in Tokyo, she collected many memories and shined bright at the Olympics. She recently took to Instagram to share a collage of her favorite moments during the event and gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at her experience.

In her lead Instagram photo, Osaka is seen smiling with her individual braids with the red and white of course representing Japan's colors. Aside from the peace-sign selfie, she also shared some of the authentic Japanese cuisine she tried, several candids, and a screenshot of her FaceTime with her adorable French bulldog.

Osaka hit another road block when it comes to controversy for representing Japan at the Olympics. The 23-year-old was born in Japan but grew up in the United States. Her mother, Tamika Osaka is Japanese and father Leonard Francois is Haitian. However the four-time major champion has played under Japan since 14-years-old and continued to spark awareness about being Black when she took to social media to address the public.

"So I don't choose America and suddenly people are like, 'your Black card is revoked.' And it's like, African American isn't the only Black you know? I don't know, I feel like people really don't know the difference between nationality and race because there's a lot of Black people in Brazil, but they're Brazilian," Osaka wrote on Twitter.

Despite encountering more trouble with the media, she once again is making people think differently and understand the sometimes complex issues surrounding diversity and inclusion. Osaka also carried the Olympic torch and lit the cauldron to ignite the Olympic Games, something she says is "undoubtedly the greatest athletic achievement and honor" of her young career.

"The most important thing was to deliver a message of diversity and inclusion. In the end, we decided on [Osaka] because she is a great athlete and she has been delivering a variety of messages so we thought she was the best person to be the final torchbearer. It was a decision that the whole organizing committee came to," said Hioki Takayuki, executive producer of the Tokyo 2020 Opening Ceremony.

Osaka fell to eventual silver medalist Marketa Vondrousova in the event's third round, but all in all looks to be an Olympics she will never forget.
