A new first-time women's Grand Slam champion is assured at the French Open, with none of the four semifinalists having won a major before.

Jelena Jankovic and Samantha Stosur will face each other in the first semifinal, and Francesca Schaivone and Elena Dementieva in the other.

Dementieva has previously reached two Grand Slam finals, at the French and U.S. Opens in 2004. Jankovic, who faced scrutiny when she reached No. 1 without having won a Grand Slam, is still seeking her first major after reaching the 2008 U.S. Open final.

Stosur has matched her previous best Slam result, which came when she reached the French Open semifinals a year ago. This year's run is more impressive, however, because it includes wins over Justine Henin and Serena Williams.

Schiavone, 29, will be playing her first Grand Slam semifinal.
