The Australian Nick Kyrgios says that he isn't planning to bring in a coach next season, but has been training hard for the tournaments Down Under.

The No. 20 has not had a full-time coach since 2015, but did work with former player Sebastien Grosjean for part of this season, along with a now retired Radek Stepanek.

Recently, Stepanek was hired by the former No. 1, Novak Djojkovic .

“I don’t have a coach. I will go about my thing, the same I did this year. I wasn’t looking at anyone,” Kyrgios told Australian press, announcing his participation in the Tiebreak Tens event at Melbourne. https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/tennis/nick-kyrgios-to-remain-without-a-coach-in-2018-as-he-looks-to-put-2017-woes-behind-him/news-story/170b845437c86d001becdce482004b60

“Radek helped me a little bit. I’m not surprised Novak hired him.

"He has great knowledge. I’ve done it pretty much all alone the past three years."

Kyrgios, who will play Brisbane to start his season, will get some help from Australian Davis Cup captain Lleyton Hewitt and coach Jason Stoltenberg. But he still doesn't want to add to his own team.

"To bring someone on, it is tough to know if they are just doing it for the sake of getting some cash or if they have best interests at heart," said Kyrgios. "And so far I haven’t found anyone to meet those requirements as a full time coach.”

The 22-year-old does say, though, that he is healthy again following repeated problems with a hip injury. Kyrgios injured his hip playing basketball during the 2016 offseason, and then dropped a two sets to love lead at the Australian Open, receiving a lot of criticism. He also finished the season with injury problems.

“I feel more ready than I did last year. I’ve taken care of my body a bit more,” Kyrgios said. “I have been doing rehab every day. It’s where I think my discipline has improved. It [the hip] feels pretty good… I feel I’ve done everything I can. I have time to find my feet.”
