Novak Djokovic is known as the Djoker by many, that in light of his winsome, exuberant personality and erstwhile on-court impressions of other tennis stars, male and female. He's also a grade-A sportsman. Witness the latest exhibit in that ongoing narrative, as he owned up to having hit an errant shot off Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's racquet in Indian Wells:

Djokovic ultimately won the match against the No. 9-ranked Tsonga, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (2). It was a tight affair, though hardly in doubt considering Tsonga's 47-percent first-serve mark and Djokovic's overall 14-6 record against the Frenchman.

Roger Federer did it for a number of years, and there's no reason to think Djokovic can't soon follow suit: What we have here is a No. 1 player who may also be the bar-none competitor in terms of sportsmanship.
