Novak Djokovic says he is still not back on court, but is planning to play the Australian Open.
The Serb was in attendance at a basketball game in Athens for a top Serbian basketball figure, and then went to Belgrade. "I'm still injured, and I'm not playing tennis either," he was quoted as saying at the basketball game.
According to Serbian press, Djokovic was in Monte Carlo doing some off-court training, and will see doctors in Belgrade. He indicated that he plans to play the Australian Open, and could add a warm-up event.
Djokovic has not played since an elbow injury led to him withdrawing at Wimbledon. A few weeks ago, he announced his wife, Jelena, had their second child, Tara, a girl. They also have a two-year-old son, Stefan.
He reiterated that his priorities have shifted since he was younger but wants to return to the sport, saying, "Now I have different goals. I want to keep playing tennis and try to be the best I can."
Djokovic has won 12 Grand Slams during his career.
