He already holds almost all of the most important records—most Grand Slam titles for a man in history with 24 and most weeks at No. 1 on the ATP rankings with 397, to name a few—but Novak Djokovic’s domination of Masters 1000 events has been just as incredible.

Not only does he hold the record for most career Masters 1000 titles with 39, but he’s the only player ever to win a Career Golden Masters, which is winning each of the nine Masters 1000 events at least once in his career—and he’s actually won them all at least twice each, meaning he actually has a Double Career Golden Masters.

Well, he’s added another record to his Masters 1000 resume—with his 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-4 victory over Holger Rune in the quarterfinals of the Rolex Paris Masters on Friday, Djokovic has surpassed Rafael Nadal for best career winning percentage in Masters 1000 history.

Going into the match he was 396-86 at Masters 1000 events, or 82.1578%, but with his latest win he improved to 82.1946%, moving ahead of Nadal’s 82.1862%. The Spaniard is 406-88 at this level.

Djokovic and Nadal are the only two players above 80%.

Rune had beaten Djokovic in their last two meetings, in the Paris final a year ago and in the quarterfinals of Rome earlier this year, and this one was a battle, too—Djokovic nearly snuck it out in straight sets, bringing up a match point with Rune serving at 5-7, 4-5, 30-40, but Rune fought it off and ended up racing out to a 5-1 lead in the second set tie-break en route to pushing the encounter to a third set.

Djokovic rebounded in a big way, though, breaking in the third game of the decider for a 2-1 lead, and he rode that break to victory.

Rune actually finished the match with a better winners-to-unforced errors differential—he had 38 winners to 26 unforced errors, or +12, while Djokovic had 31 to 25, or +6. But Djokovic was just too dangerous on the return, going 3/4 on break points while Rune went 1/1.

In addition to having the most titles in Masters 1000 history with 39, Djokovic also has the most finals with 57—and with his victory over Rune he ties Nadal for most semifinals, too, with 76.
