Minnesota tennis players Eric Perkins and David Watkins say they have broken the world record for the longest continuous singles contest by playing for 36 hours, 36 minutes and 36 seconds between May 3-4.
World record officials will review the match before officially declaring it a record.
The pair played 68 sets, 65 won by Perkins, at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
The match brought in $10,000 for a local charity fundraising effort.
