ISTANBUL (AP)—Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has beaten Elena Vesnina 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 in the Istanbul Cup final to claim her second WTA singles title.

Pavlyuchenkova’s serve was broken seven times Sunday, while Vesnina lost serve eight times. Both players survived tough three-set matches in Saturday’s semifinals.

The third-seeded Pavlyuchenkova trailed 3-0 in the second set and 3-1 in the third before recovering against Vesnina in an all-Russian final.

It was Pavlyuchenkova’s second career victory over Vesnina, who has reached three tour finals. Pavlyuchenkova won her first WTA Tour singles title at the Monterrey Open in Mexico in March.

Top-seeded Francesca Schiavone, the French Open champion, was knocked out in the second round in Istanbul.
