Petra Kvitova is anticipating a great atmosphere for the Fed Cup final against France, though the crowd will not be cheering on the Czech Republic.

The final of the team competition will be played in Strasbourg, France, on indoor hard courts on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13.

Kvitova is scheduled to play singles for the Czech Republic, as is Karolina Pliskova. World No. 11 Kvitova, who is the second-highest ranked player on the team behind No. 6 Pliskova, won the Elite Trophy in Zhuhai this past weekend.

The Czech Republic has won the Fed Cup four of the past five years, including two straight titles at home in front of a packed 10,850-seat arena in Prague. Kvitova said this week's final would also fill the stands.

"I think in Fed Cup it's a little bit different,” Kvitova told reporers in Zhuhai. “It's like a little more [loud], and in France it should be around 6,000, 7,000 people coming.”

Having the crowd support should help the French team, she added. In their previous two meetings, the home team won both times.

"It will be great,” she said. “We know how to play away, of course, but it's always better to play home. They have [the] advantage right now."

Alize Cornet, Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic will lead the French team in the final.
