Petra Kvitova has been working on a trial basis with Wim Fissette, and the pair tested their coaching relationship this week at the Toray Pan Pacific Open.

Earlier this year the Belgian coach worked with Victoria Azarenka, who is not currently active as she expects her first child.

A spokesperson for the Czech Tennis Federation told Czech reporters that the pair has agreed on "only Tokyo" so far.

Kvitova is working with her third coach of the season. She stopped working with longtime coach David Kotyza following the Australian Open, and then split with Frantisek Cermak after the U.S. Open.

Kvitova reached the second round in Tokyo before falling to Monica Puig in three sets.

The Czech is No. 16 in the rankings.
