NEW YORK—One thing you notice when you look at photos of pro tennis players is the amount of air they get when they play. As hard as they’re working when you see them run, they often appear to be floating when you make them stand still with a camera. Tennis, in the eyes of the lens, can look as much like a dance as it does a sport.
