Kristyna Pliskova is aiming to finish the year ranked inside the Top 20. She'll rise inside the Top 50 for the first time after reaching the final in Prague.

“I have a small goal this season, which is to be in the Top 20. I don’t see it as a big step, but it is a step,” the No. 58-ranked Pliskova told tennishead.net. “We just work on my head, to be mentally strong. I think that is the key to what has changed in me.”

Kristyna is the twin sister of world No. 3-ranked Karolina Pliskova. The Czech began 2016 ranked outside the Top 100, but started rising fast after her first WTA title in Tashkent.

The 25-year-old will be seeing Karolina more often now that her ranking allows her to enter bigger tournaments.

“We talk all the time,” Kristyna Pliskova said. “We don’t play that many of the same tournaments, maybe the Slams, Indian Wells, Miami. Last year we played two tournaments in Prague."

The twin sisters get along, but can also be competitive.

"I think it is better that we don't play the same tournaments every week,” Kristyna Pliskova said.

Karolina also played in Prague, but fell in the opening round.
