Australian Davis Cup captain Pat Rafter says that the chronically injured former No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt has turned the corner and is playing top-flight tennis again.
No. 130-ranked Hewitt will play singles alongside Bernard Tomic against China in an Asia-Oceania Davis Cup tie. He is also scheduled to play doubles with Chris Guccione. Hewitt pushed No. 1 Novak Djokovic ina four-set loss at the Australian Open. "Lleyton is ready and Lleyton's ranking is no reflection of how he's hitting the ball. To me he is back in the top 20 in terms of how he is hitting the ball," Rafter told the Australian press.
