Ranking jumps: Linette jumps 30 spots after Bronx

For the final week before the US Open begins, these five players made their final move in the rankings before the last Grand Slam of the year:

+27 — Up to No. 53 from No. 80

The 27-year-old celebrated her first WTA Tour title by overcoming Camila Giorgi, 5-7, 7-5, 6-4, in the Bronx. She successfully got through eight matches to raise her first title as a qualifier and her new ranking is a career-best of No. 53 in the world.

+10 — Up to No. 48 from No. 58

Linette's final opponent may not have won the Bronx Open, but she did jump back into the Top 50 after reaching the finals in Washington and New York. The Italian saved multiple match points to beat No. 1 seed Wang Qiang in the semifinals.

+6 — Up to No. 35 from No. 41

At the Winston Salem Open, Hubert Hurkacz became the first Polish man to win an ATP Tour title since Wojtek Fibak's winning in Chicago in 1982. He overcame four consecutive seeded players during his run, finishing the week at No. 35 in the rankings, a career best.

+4 — Up to No. 26 from No. 30

The Frenchman reached his third ATP Tour final, and despite losing to Hurkacz, he still has two titles to his name so far this season—clay-court trophies from Marrakech and Lyon. Even with the loss, Paire still managed to rise four places in the rankings to No. 26.

+9 — Up to No. 93 to No. 84

A lucky loser at the Bronx Open, the Russian 20-year-old made the most of her second chance by beating CoCo Vandeweghe and Milhaela Buzarnescu, before eventually losing to Wang Qiang in three sets. Blinkova drew defending champion Naomi Osaka in the first round of the US Open.
