Marion Bartoli, who moved to Switzerland as a young child and has vowed never to revisit her hometown in France because she felt the people were petty and mean, says that the crowds at Roland Garros have taken to her. "They've always trusted me," said Bartoli after her 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over Anna Tatishvili. "People have always encouraged me. The crowd is always here, they always open their arms to me. I can remember this match in 2007 against Jankovic that I played here. Even though I was defeated, I was always supported from A to Z and people always encouraged me. I can tell you quite often this helped me, because nervously, mentally, I could overcome a number of difficulties when it was tough."
