After losing 6-0, 6-2 to Benjamin Becker in the first round of Madrid, Carlos Moya said he had probably played his last match in the Spanish capital.
The 32-year-old Spaniard was sidelined most of last year after hip surgery then suffered a stress fracture in his right foot this season.
"It was probably my last match here," said Moya. "The setback with the foot has been hard, I could not play the tournaments where I've had some of the best memories of my career -- the Australian Open [where he reached his first Grand Slam final, Indian Wells, Miami [where he clinched No. 1]."
The former French Open champ said he wants to play the Grand Slam event in two weeks' time, but is not sure what condition his foot will be in.
Moya and his girlfriend, actress Carolina Cerezuela, are expecting their first child later this year.
