Here it is, the day that most fans of men's tennis would agree is the best one of all to attend. Semifinal Friday (oh how I wish the U.S. Open would return to that tradition, or move it to Saturday and play a Monday night final) always offers up between two and four of the marquee names, and while finals can sometimes be a dud -- most interesting for having actually been there, not for what you saw there -- semifinal Friday almost always produces at least one decent-to-great match.
I'm not sure how I see Nadal vs. Ferrer, other than overwhelmingly confident that Nadal will win. But will it be a routine three-setter of the kind he had with Nicolas Almagro just the other day, or will Ferrer take something out of Nadal, put him in some tight spots, make him feel the match deep in his bones and muscles when he goes to sleep on Friday night? As I wrote in my post (below) on Roger Federer, it's hard to imagine him surviving Djokovic. We'll see. Enjoy the tennis, I'll be writing a Racquet Reaction to the second match.
