Laura Robson is continuing to work with her coach Mauricio Hadad, even though the Brit has not played since January 2014 due to a left wrist injury.
The 20-year-old has tried to play on various occasions this season but was unable to. Robson began to make big moves up in 2013, reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon (beating then-No. 10 Maria Kirilenko), as well as the third rounds of the Australian Open (defeating Petra Kvitova), the French Open and the U.S. Open.
She reached her highest ranking of No. 27 in July 2013, but has changed coaches frequently since. In the fall of 2013, she stopped working with Miles Maclagan. Last November and December, she worked with Jesse Witten and Nick Saviano in Florida, but her then-friend Genie Bouchard hired Saviano full time.
The British prospect will be able to use a protected ranking in 2015, but has yet to decide whether she will play in Australia in January. If she is healthy, she may go to Australia or play smaller tournaments elsewhere.
Hadad worked with fellow British player Heather Watson for almost two years. The Colombian coach once reached as high as No. 78. He has been working under Nick Bollettieri in Florida.
