At Eastbourne, three-time Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick has reached his first final since last year in Memphis. Roddick, who took a wild card into the tournament after losing six straight matches, beat Fabio Fognini in the quarters on Friday before winning his 600th career match in the semis, when Steve Darcis retired with an injury. Roddick is seeded No. 30 at Wimbledon.
"I'm comfortable on this surface," the American told reporters earlier this week. "I started playing really well in practice when I got here. If you ask me the reason, I'd give you a blank stare, because I have no idea how this game works and why it works, why all of a sudden I came out and I played three really good sets so far."
