Roddick projected to fall out of Top 10 after defeat

There will be no U.S. men in the quarterfinals of Washington after Gilles Simon upset Andy Roddick, Xavier Malisse beat John Isner, Marin Cilic defeated Mardy Fish and Fernando Verdasco ousted Ryan Sweeting.

Roddick is projected to fall out of the Top 10 on Monday. It will be the first time since ATP rankings began in 1973 that there will be no American men in the Top 10.—Matthew Cronin
