Anastasia Rodionova has won the gold at the Commonwealth Games, leaving home favorite Sania Mirza with a silver medal after a 3-6, 6-2, 7-6(3) win in the women's final.

Mirza led 2-0 in the third set and saved four match points in front of a packed crowd, but double-faulted to lose the match in the third-set tiebreaker.

"I have been trying really hard but now I feel am a real Australian after winning the Commonwealth Games gold medal," said Rodionova, who received Australian citizenship earlier this year.

"I think what's important was that I gave my best but I fell a bit short," said Mirza. "It's an honour to play for my country."

Sally Peers won brozne against fellow Australian Olivia Rogowska.

Australia and India will also face off in the men's final, with Aussie prospect Greg Jones taking on Somdev Devvarman.

Paul Hanley and Peter Luczak won a gold medal in the men's doubles with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 win over Ross Hutchins and Ken Skupski. Hanley and Luczak upset favorites Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes earlier in the week.

Hanley and Rodionova will have a chance to win another gold when they meet against Colin Fleming and Jocelyn Rae in the mixed doubles final.
