Former No. 1 Dinara Safina announces on Twitter that after a visit to a doctor in Madrid, she discovered that she hadn't seriously re-injured her bad back. Safina was forced to retire in Marbella with back pain.
"The good news that my stress fracture is almost healed so that was not the case," she wrote. "The bad news [is] I was touching the nerve so that's why I had sharp pain. But another good news I don't have to stop! So tomorrow back at work! I'm so happy that is nothing serious and that I can continue working hard!"—Matthew Cronin
