“I want the fans to have something they can wear every day, almost everywhere they go,” the Swiss said in a release. “It really is about being able to wear it in the street and feel like this isn’t just another sportswear piece. It needs to be a bit something more, but at the same time, feel like it’s rooted in tennis.”
Federer is as dedicated as they come, both on the court and in his outside endeavors. According to Vogue, the 34-year-old traveled to Nike’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon to further develop the products with the company’s design team.
“It’s still a bit of a beginning for me, trying to completely understand how we go about it,” Federer said. “There is such a wonderful team, and unbelievable, creative minds out there. They’re really helping me to get it right.”
