In this case, nearly 10 million YouTube followers can't be wrong. The sports-clip dynamos of Dude Perfect have carved out a super niche for themselves on that platform, and Serena Williams joined them for an expertly timed video just as we dipped into this year's play at the 2016 French Open.

Also expertly timed in the nearly eight-minute video is nearly every trick shot Serena tries with her ragtag group of pals.

"I suggested against this, just for the record," Serena says before blasting a tennis-ball canister off the head of an unassuming Dude Perfect team member on the Delray Beach Open's stadium court in Florida.

Sure, no one except those who participated knows how long each segment took to actually complete. But who cares? The relentlessly fun and quirky features command attention. Case in point: When Team Dude Perfect finds out how many of its own it takes to win a point against Serena. (Read: More guys than they have.) Come for Serena's newly patented Palm Beach Swisher shot. Stay for her talk of Pop-Tarts versus toaster strudels and a brief water-balloon fight.

That's Serena in a nutshell: the first player on everyone's lips as they survey the field at a major tournament, and at the same time, a cross-platform sensation in pop culture.
