You may have seen Serena Williams dust off Svetlana Kuznetsova on Friday at the Italian Open in Rome. It was her most decisive win in 12 matches against her sometimes-rival, who has beaten her twice at major events and once this year. The victory came by a 6-0, 6-2 score. Again, if you saw it, then you know she has come back from pedestrian-by-her-standards results this season with a searing focus. On Saturday, she swept past Irina-Camelia Begu, 6-4, 6-1 to set up a final clash against Madison Keys.
And because SnapChat isn't enough, Serena will soon debut a full-length documentary film created in her honor. It's titled "Serena: The Other Side of Greatness." It will appear on the Epix channel, and it may very well be, well, epic. That's not a word your loyal Spin keeper seeks to use often, but when you have such a formidable subject before you, one chasing herstory with each passing major at this point, then "epic" surely fits.
