Serena Williams says that she and U.S. Fed Cup captain Mary Joe Fernandez are getting along well. Williams won her singles match to help stake the USA to a 2-0 lead over host Ukraine today. Williams made her first Fed Cup appearance in five years in a winning effort vs. Belarus in a February tie in Worcester, Mass. It was her first tie playing for Fernandez.

"It’s been a while since I played Fed Cup and playing in Worcester, it was good for me get to know Mary more and her to get to know me as a player more," Serena told Fedcup.com. "I feel we have much better chemistry this time around. I want to keep this up. It’s good practice for me and to have different views is really good."
