"Stunt on them," indeed.

Serena and Beyoncé have a lot of history. Beyoncé posted a public note of admiration to Serena upon the latter's claiming of her 2013 French Open title. Then Serena mimicked Bey's "7/11" music video, giving it a tennis-themed spin in March 2015, before the two each dressed in superhero form for Ciara's birthday party six months ago. Now this:

Yes, Serena appears in Beyoncé's latest work. Her visual album Lemonade is a 52-minute cinematic experience that includes among its 12 tracks a song called "Sorry." That features none other than Serena—with Beyoncé perched on what appears to be Serena's throne from her SI Sportsperson of the Year shoot.

It quickly becomes obvious that all of Serena's recent dance action, from taking group lessons to educating others, was for startlingly good reason. She drops low, writhes around and plays to the camera like the ultra-confident queens of culture that ReRe and Bey are.

Earlier in the evening, Serena actually alluded to potential involvement with the Lemonade project on Instagram in a photo post that featured her sporting (what else?) a bedazzled face.

She confirmed her involvement by quoting a needless tweet from People magazine:

Lemonade is available for download exclusively on music-streaming service Tidal for now. It features guest vocals from such leading men as The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Tidal co-champion Jack White of the erstwhile White Stripes and James Blake. (English electro-soul singer-songwriter James Blake, not the retired tennis pro.)

This will narrow it down a bit, but if you are a fan of powerful pop music, a tennis aficionado, and a fellow September 1981 baby, then Lemonade will likely provide a welcome respite from your mortal coil. I'm all in for a glass (or 12) of Lemonade. Who's with me?
