After playing the longest match ever in their first-round meeting at Wimbledon 2010, John Isner and Nicholas Mahut's rematch at the Hopman Cup lasts just 90 minutes, with Isner winning (again) with a less-eye-catching scoreline of 6-3, 7-6 (5). "Took 9 1/2 hours less this time," Isner said afterwards.

Their 11 hour, five-minute match was nominated as one of Time Magazine's top 10 sporting moments of the year, and ranked No. 9 by SI.

Marin Cilic and Kei Nishikori, who battled for four hours and 59 minutes in searing heat at the U.S. Open, managed to go three sets in two hours and 33 minutes this time around. Nishikori came out ahead once more, winning 4-6, 7-6(0), 6-2 to end Cilic's bid for his third Chennai title in a row.
