Novak Djokovic ended Dutch wild card Tim van Rijthoven’s eight-match grass-court winning streak in the round of 16 at Wimbledon on Sunday night, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, and in doing so extended his own grass-court winning streak to 25 matches in a row.

It’s now the third-longest grass-court winning streak for a man in the Open Era.

LONGEST MEN’S GRASS-COURT WINNING STREAKS IN OPEN ERA
65: Roger Federer (2003 Halle 1st Rd to 2008 Wimbledon F—l. to Nadal)
41: Bjorn Borg (1976 Wimbledon 1st Rd to 1981 Wimbledon F—l. to McEnroe)
25: Novak Djokovic (2018 Wimbledon 1st Rd to present)
24: Rod Laver (1969 Wimbledon 1st Rd to 1970 Bristol F—l. to Pilic)

Djokovic’s 25 wins in a row on grass have come entirely at Wimbledon, with his title runs in 2018 (7-0), 2019 (7-0) and 2021 (7-0) and his results so far this year (4-0).

His last loss on this surface came right before Wimbledon in 2018, as he fell to Marin Cilic in the Queen’s Club final—a match in which he had match point.
