It was a double-milestone kind of day for Rafael Nadal in Madrid on Thursday as he battled past David Goffin, 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (9), in the round of 16 of the Masters 1000 event.

First off, it was the 1,050th win of Nadal's career. He currently has the fourth-most career wins for a man in the Open Era, and he’s closing in fast on third place on the list.
