Stefanos Tsitsipas stormed past Alexander Zverev in the semifinals of Monte Carlo on Saturday, 6-4, 6-2, to not only extend his Monte Carlo winning streak to nine matches in a row (5-0 to win the title last year and 4-0 so far this year), but also to reach the fourth Masters 1000 final of his career, and the 19th overall ATP final of his career.

His 75-minute victory over the No. 3-ranked Zverev was also the 25th Top 10 win of his career, making him just the sixth man born in 1990 or later to reach that milestone.

MEN BORN IN 1990 OR LATER WITH 25+ CAREER TOP 10 WINS:
39: Alexander Zverev (born in 1997)
32: Dominic Thiem (born in 1993)
30: Milos Raonic (born in 1990)
29: Grigor Dimitrov (born in 1991)
29: Daniil Medvedev (born in 1996)
25: Stefanos Tsitsipas (born in 1998)

It was also Tsitsipas’ eighth career win over a Top 3 player—he’s had one win over a No. 1 (Djokovic at Shanghai in 2019), three wins over No. 2s (Nadal at Madrid in 2019, Nadal at the Australian Open in 2021 and Medvedev at Roland Garros in 2021) and now four wins over No. 3s (Zverev in Canada in 2018, Federer again at the Australian Open in 2019, Federer at the ATP Finals in 2019 and Zverev in Monte Carlo today).

Tsitsipas will take on Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on Sunday for his second straight Monte Carlo crown.
