Sloane Stephens is currently working with coach Nick Saviano, the former coach of Eugenie Bouchard, but has yet to decide whether the two will work together in 2015.
Stephens has not had a coach since September, but the 21-year-old started training with Saviano last week in Plantation, Fla. Until recently, the American has been working out only off-court due to a wrist injury.
Saviano has coached a number of players over the years, most recently splitting with world No. 7 Bouchard a few weeks ago. Currently ranked No. 36, Stephens reached a career-high ranking of No. 11 in 2013, but struggled throughout 2014. She worked with coach Paul Annacone during an eight-month partnership, and then briefly with Thomas Hogstedt.
Stephens and Saviano will likely decide next week whether or not they will continue the partnership. If she is healthy enough, Stephens will start her season in Auckland. She has not decided if she will play Sydney or Hobart the following week, but is aiming to play the Australian Open.
