Samantha Stosur and longtime coach David Taylor will stop working together after the French Open.
Taylor told the Australian Associated Press that one of the reasons the partnership is ending is because he is now based in Europe. Stosur, meanwhile, does her training in the United States.
“It’s all very amicable, and I’m even working with her at finding a suitable replacement, which she hasn’t finalized yet," he said. "I know Sam has still got some great tennis left inside her, and she continues to work harder than anyone."
Taylor coached Stosur to victory at the 2011 U.S. Open, with the two stopping in 2013 and then reuniting a year ago. But the 32-year-old has lacked consistency of late, dropping to No. 26 in the world.
Neither Stosur nor Taylor has announced their next pairing.
