Carla Suarez Navarro says she is not properly prepared for the clay-court season following a right wrist injury. The world No. 10, who reached the final in Miami, said she was "not in the best physical condition" because the injury had kept her from practicing. She is scheduled to play next week's WTA event at Stuttgart.

"I have not been able to prepare for the Stuttgart tournament the way I would have liked," the 26-year-old said in Spanish. "I have not even been able to practice one hour per day. The preparation for the clay-court season hasn't been what I expected because of the pain in my right wrist and inflammation in the tendon."

The 26-year-old has been working hard to fix the problem.

The Spaniard said whether or not she plays Stuttgart, her priority is getting healthy. "The goal is to recover from the injury," she said.
