Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is too easily and too often referred to as the Muhammad Ali (née Cassius Clay) of tennis. His semifinal against Novak Djokovic showed that he's got a ways to go before anyone will be calling him the Greatest. But in beating Roger Federer he made himself the story of this Wimbledon's second week.

That is, until Friday, when Novak transformed into the Djoker. The Serb startlingly dismantled Tsonga's backhand, something Fed failed to do, and in doing so seized the No. 1 ranking from Rafael Nadal. Thus ended 388 straight weeks (more than seven-and-a-half years!) of Fed-Rafa dominance at the summit.

The Djokovic-Tsonga match was often erratically played but had a few wonderfully grass-tastic moments, once with both players ending up flat on the lawn. (For more Tsonga photos, click here.) **But let's not forget the No. 1 Frenchman so fast. An intimidating 200-plus-pounder who answers to the misnomer Jo-Wilfried (or "Jo-Willy" if you're Brad Gilbert), Tsonga deserves his kudos. Without further ado, here are his greatest hits (even those points he didn't win) from this fortnight:

Now: Rafa has a 20-match winning streak at Wimbledon to defend, and the Djoker is a laughably bad 48-1 this season. Sunday's final, for all the pomp of Wimbledon, will be a dogfight. Forget splendor—this should be a bloodbath in the grass.
