Saturday's Tennis Channel Plus Match of the Day features American Taro Daniel and Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, who will battle for a spot in the finals in Istanbul.

Daniel has never won a title at the ATP level and Chardy hasn't won a title since 2009, so expect both men to bring their best to the court, considering the opportunity.

Daniel's quarterfinal opponent was Rogerio Dutra Silva, and the 25-year-old handled his business with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 win. The victory came right after a 6-2, 6-2 win over fourth-seeded Aljaz Bedene.

Chardy's quarterfinal match was a 6-2, 6-2 win over Thomas Fabbiano. You can see the match point from the Frenchman's victory here:

The 31-year-old has really looked at his best on clay in 2018, as he also played well in both the qualifiers and the main draw in Monte Carlo.

His experience in high-pressure situations like these should help him, but Daniel's youthful exuberance could end up giving him the edge here. That was certainly a key factor in him beating 12-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in Indian Wells.
