Tennis Channel President Ken Solomon recently joined Craig Shapiro on the *Under Review Tennis Podcast* to share his insight on the broadcast landscape in professional tennis.

A number of topics were discussed with Shapiro: from competing against other networks and the impact of acquiring broadcast rights at Roland Garros in 2007, to getting WTA back as a partner before the start of this season.

In the podcast, Solomon reveals, “What I do know is that one of the great debates in this sport is the men versus the women inside the sport. There are some inside the ATP who are trained to eat what they kill. They don’t realize their greatest single asset is the women. We’ve just proved it.

“One thing we know categorically is that the women have helped us raise the attention to the game for both the men and women by over half in just a few months. It was a switch going off putting them back in. On December 30th, when we went to four locations, you get a little teary eyed. You realize we’re finally showing everything that’s going on and like jazz, follow the action wherever it’s happening and not have to leave anything behind.”

Tennis.com also has its own weekly podcast, Inside The Tour, hosted by Nina Pantic and Irina Falconi.
