Take free weights—and nothing above 25 pounds. Performing this exercise on a stability ball engages your entire body and boosts your core strength. Position the back of your shoulders and neck on the ball, with your head flat. Knees at 90 degrees; heels flat. Squeeze your glutes and extend your hips up so that your trunk is flat.

One: Hands up above chest.

Two: Fly out to shoulder level, palms up.

Three: Bring the weights back to center by actively squeezing your chest.

Four: Let your elbow drop below your back and press straight up. Keep your wrist stable throughout the entire motion.
