Wow. Where does the time go?

I’m looking at two days off and leaving for Indian Wells very early Sunday morning, so I won't be posting anything new for a bit. I need to get up to the farm and take care of some other personal stuff tomorrow and Saturday. I'll be traveling most of Sunday, but I'll try to get something up before the weekend is over. Serious blogging from IW starts Monday.

Unfortunately, I have to get back to New York for the wedding of a friend on March 18th, so I can't stay in the desert for the finals. But Todd, or TiC, one of my most loyal readers and (alas!) an ankle-biter extraordinaire, and some other posters, will be happy to know that I’ll be seeing lots of great tennis in the coming weeks.

FYI, I’ll also be blogging from Key Biscayne for the last 5 critical days of the NASDAQ 100 - from Wednesday, March 29th, through the final.

I know I owe you a doping post and also some state-of-the-game thoughts based on our recent meeting with ATP chieftain Etienne de Villiers. I will deliver on those in the coming days, although perhaps not until I’m out in the desert on the doping front - it's not exactly a time-sensitive issue. It's here to stay.

I am also working on a couple of “fun” projects intended to tap into the resources of our very knowledgeable base of comment posters. We’ll have another caption contest up soon and I’m thinking of instituting a “Kool-Aid Drinker of the Month” and/or “Comment of the Month" award. Any interest?

Best of all, though, I plan to come up with TW’s very own Q Ratings cum Myers-Briggs Personality Test. I'll be thinking of ways to quantify the things that matter to us - and the game - about tennis players. No more on that for now, but I’ll get back to it, because I’ll need your help designing this.

Thoughts and advice welcome. 'Dios for now.
