While big names stars like Rafael Nadal and Naomi Osaka are getting all the spotlight this week, Radu Albot is quietly making a name for himself. A Moldovian currently ranked No. 53 in the world, Albot is having the best run of his career at Indian Wells.

The 29-year-old has never played past the first round in California until this year where he swept through the qualifiers and upset Fabio Fognini to make it the third round. Albot has yet to drop on set in the tournament, continuing a strong eight-match winning streak from Delray Beach.

Albot became the first Moldovian to win an ATP title by winning the Delray Beach Open trophy. He also holds his country's records for most singles wins and total wins.

Albot will have another tough challenge when he faces Kyle Edmund on Tuesday. Even if he loses, he has already earned a spot inside the Top 50 for the first time.
