Happy Friday the 13th, TWibe! Here we go again—another All About Me TWiber profile, another guessing game. (I’d rate this one about a medium on the difficulty scale.)

Reminder: If you’d like to be the next to take the quiz, e-mail me here. Come on, you know you want to . . . :)

Now, introducing the “real” _!

Zodiac sign: Taurus

Hair color: Brown

Eye color: Blue

Shoe size: 6 and a half

Siblings: 1

Last album you listened to: Picaresque by the Decemberists

Last film you saw: Jane Eyre

Do you have a significant other?: Yes

Crushes: Have an ever changing list of crushes, but Johnny Depp always remains on it J

Favorite film: Silence of the Lambs

Favorite TV show: Homicide: Life on the Street

Favorite author: At the moment, if I had to pick a favorite female author I’d go with Edith Wharton, and for favorite male author, I’d go with Mario Vargas Llosa.

What you like to do on the weekend: Don’t laugh, but I love grocery shopping. So a great weekend day for me is one that entails sleeping in, having a compelling sporting event on TV, and grocery shopping.

Favorite color: Light blue

Favorite food: I normally crave salt over sweet, and French fries are my favorite guilty pleasure/comfort food.

Favorite sport: College football, with tennis a close second

Favorite vacation spot: So far, Italy (particularly Rome—love that city!)

Favorite number: 7

Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving

Best feeling in the world: One of my favorite “simple pleasures” is going to sleep on freshly laundered sheets. I love feeling as if you are enveloped in warmth and freshness as you drift off to sleep.

Worst feeling in the world: Saying something that as soon as it leaves your lips, you immediately regret uttering it. Particularly when those words wound or cause hurt to someone you love.

Love at first sight: Yes

Long distance relationships: It requires great commitment and trust, but I think a relationship can only grow in strength if the two members of the couple are willing to be in one.

Where do you want to live?: I’d love to live in Portland, Oregon at some point in my life.

Fears: Really hate heights. And snakes.

Who is the closest person to you?: My husband

Bad habits: I’m horribly impatient

Talents: I don’t know that I have a particular talent—I can read really quickly, does that count?

Favorite restaurant: This local Mexican restaurant, which is a little hole in the wall (it can only seat 22 people!). Best mole I’ve ever had, and the friendliest owners you could imagine.

Hard liquor or beer?: Can I pick wine?

Chicken or turkey?: Turkey

Favorite love song: “My One and Only Love” (John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman version)

Have you ever cried in public?: Yes, more times than I wish to remember

Something you want to do before you die: I really want to see Rafa play, live and in person, on clay. I’ve seen him on a hard court, but I’d give anything to see him play on clay.

What do you hate: Rain! It has rained almost every year on my birthday (I can think of 3 birthdays when it hasn’t rained) so I have a very deeply rooted, irrational hatred toward it

What makes you angry: Intolerance

Personal quote: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small compared to what lies within us.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson

What is the meaning of life?: I believe life is meant to be shared, and enjoyed, with others. So to me, a life well-lived is one which you make a difference, be it big or small, in someone else’s life.

If you could change one thing that happened in your life, what would it be?: I wouldn’t change anything, as I think all of my experiences have shaped me. But I do wish that I were taller.

Favorite TW poster: MrsSanta. She never failed to make me laugh.

Ready, set, guess!

Before I sign off, I'd like to take a moment to give a shout-out to a former TW regular who could really use a pick-me-up. Nancy, #1 Nalbandian fan and sweetheart extraordinaire, is in the midst of the sectarian strife in Egypt, and it’s been a very difficult time for her, understandably. I encourage those of you who remember her joyful presence on the blog to offer your support and well wishes in the comments; it's the least we can do for our dear friend, and I'm sure she would appreciate it. (I'll e-mail her a link to the post.)

And to Nancy: We miss you and send our thoughts and prayers to you and your family. We're here for you and hope to lift your spirits in whatever way we can! Here's a start (courtesy of gauloises). xo
