Well, it's been zero degrees Fahrenheit at the farm in game-rich Andes, so I need to bolt, collect Cowboy Luke at school, and beat it northward. Lisa is staying in town, to complete a project and get in a few good gym workouts, and yoga. Luke and I will be feasting on rice-and-beans (with two fried eggs on top), hunting deer poopy (look, daddy, brown M&Ms!), getting the tractor running, and giving Biscuit a break from the cold. He deserves it; this mouse-terminating cat has big Wilanders, and he lets Luke toss him around like a rag doll. We'll bring out the inflatable mattress and set it up so we can sleep on the floor, right in front of the woodstove, and watch the flames and talk a little until one or both of us falls out. I hope to get a little more writing done, and to finish Fehrenbach's wonderful book on the history and culture of Texas, Lone Star.

I'll be back Sunday, to watch the Super Bowl. I will put up a new post dedicated to the game, so all of you football fans can weigh-in. Next week, I'll get back to the Q-and-A session, and we have Davis Cup bearing down on us. Note that going forward, Monday Net Post will also be a OT thread, like this one. But feel free to bring any tennis issues or commentary on the weekend action here as well.

Anybody want to post their weekend plans? It's always good to know what the other people of the Tribe are doing. Steggy is awaiting a new MobileSteggy, which should arrive today. Excited, Steggs?

Steggy: Thrilled. :) By the way, does this book on Texas include any deep, cultural thoughts regarding cow-tipping?
