The Ten: What are the 10 greatest seasons in tennis history? (VOTE)

Last week's episode of The Ten was different than all others—there was no ranking. The subject of the show was tennis trailblazers, and we presented the sport's greatest agents of change in chronological order, from when their impacts were felt most. This editorial decision resulted in two things: evidence of how connected these trailblazers are, and the richly layered story of tennis itself. (You can watch the full episode, narrated by Jason Biggs, on demand at TennisChannel.com.)

This week, we get back to the nitty gritty of ordering—specifically, tennis seasons. Over the course of the Open era, we've seen some masterful years on court put together by some of the game's greatest players. I'm sure there's one in particular that comes to mind, and it's probably on this week's episode of The Ten. (Note: we only chose one season per player.)

I'm not expecting a consensus opinion on this list, and it might be the most divisive vote yet. But that's what makes it so engaging. 'Tis the season...
