The Washington Tennis & Education Foundation

The Washington Tennis & Education Foundation was founded in 1955 as an organization designed to help disadvantaged youth through tennis. Since then, it has evolved into an organization that provides additional academic instruction to at-risk children, by helping them apply the lessons learned on the tennis court, in the classroom and beyond.

Located in Washington, D.C., it reaches approximately 1,000 children annually. The strongest testimony to their success is seen through their students. For each of the past 15 years, 100 percent of graduating students from Washington Tennis & Education Foundation’s Center for Excellence gained admission to college.
