Fernando Verdasco's days as the go-to tennis stud for advertisers (Calvin Klein, Head and Shoulders) may be numbered. First, Rafael Nadal took over in the underwear-and-jeans department. Now, Pakistan's Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi has taken his place in the grooming-products category. Qureshi's commercial for CloseUp toothpaste has him nicely accosted by two teenage girls who act in that way teenage girls tend to act around men with great teeth. But what I want to know is if Qureshi always sound like a pitchman when he speaks. If he does, maybe he should ditch tennis and go into voiceover work. Oh, the commercial is also for a contest where some lucky winner will get to meet the handsome doubles player at Wimbledon. Time to get excited, girls!
