NICE, France (AP) Top-seeded Dominic Thiem of Austria eased past Adrian Mannarino of France 6-1, 6-3 to reach the Nice Open final on Friday.

Thiem, ranked 15th, is chasing his third title of the year and sixth of his career. He will play German teen Alexander Zverev, who beat fifth-seeded Joao Sousa of Portugal 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to reach his first career final.

Although he dropped his serve once, Thiem was otherwise untroubled, winning 89 percent of his points on first serve and breaking the Frenchman's serve five times.

The eighth-seeded Zverev, who saved two match points against No. 2 Gilles Simon in the quarterfinals, had seven aces against Sousa but also double-faulted eight times.
