Each day of the tournament, we'll preview and predict three must-see matches at Wimbledon.
Juan Martin del Potro vs. Ernests Gulbis
What am I doing highlighting a match between two guys ranked No. 32 and No. 589? Delpo and Gulbis are two of the most under-ranked players on tour; the Argentine was playing Top 5 tennis at the end of 2016, and Gulbis, who was in the Top 10 once upon a time, calls his current position on the totem pole a “disaster.” Del Potro has been injured, and Gulbis has hardly won a match of late, but if you like heavy artillery, and players who aren’t afraid to use it, this should be the most entertaining slugfest of the second round. Del Potro leads their head to head 3-2, but Gulbis won their last meeting, indoors, in 2014.
Winner: Del Potro
