Speaking of Sharapova I forgot to link to this intriguing piece of a few weeks ago by Fellow Press Pariah and all-around good guy Barry Flatman of London’s Sunday Times. It’s a thought-provoking read, thanks to Barry’s basic premise (that Sharapova has to get a grip of her schedule), as well as comments made by Sharapova’s coach Robert Lansdorp. Sharapova has played a lot this year, and the big clay court tournaments coming up will demand a lot from a young lady who plays a pretty effortful, exhausting game. We’ll be watching for signs of fatigue if Sharapova begins to falter.
