Is your toss inconsistent and often behind you? Here’s a good way to fix the problem. Find some courts with a gate. Line up your front foot in the open gateway and toss the ball outside the gate so it goes straight up. If the ball hits the fence or carries over the top of it, your toss is too far back. If the ball stays in front of the fence, congratulations—you’ve got the proper toss that will help you hit with consistency and power.
